Sanders Jones Ten Step Plan
The Ten Step Plan is an all encompassing methodology designed to identify key business processes, document them, and then educate your people. Parallel running ensures that the systems, the people, and the data are all correct, with any problems being identified before the go-live.

Step 1
Project Initiation Meeting - assess rescources, define roles, identify go-live date. Project Launch Meeting - present Project Plan, agree dates, gain customer acceptance of Project Plan.
Step 2
Business Mapping - identify, document and map the Key Business Processes. Specification/Review - identify bespoke areas and prepare the Business Specification document. On customer acceptance of the Business Specification Document, prepare the Programming Specification Document.
Step 3
Technical Environment - build network, servers, desktops and communications to the desired specification. Software Delivery - isntall SQL Server and Application Software. Includes Technical Training (system admin, data backups etc.)
Step 4
Transfer routines for electronic data transfer. Create Training Database and populate with customer data. Create Test Databases. Configure Application Software in accordance with Key Business Processes.
Step 5
Amendments to Step 2 as required.
Step 6
Specify documents for end-user training sessions using notes from Step 4.
Step 7
Train users to a level where they are ready to operate the system confidently.
Step 8
User testing and fine tuning prior to live running. Transfer live data. Parallel running on both old and new systems for "standing data".
Step 9 On-site hand-holding support.
Step 10
Forum for assessing any feedback and suggestions made regarding the operation of the new live system.
